Packing

I`ve always had a knack for travelling, both local and abroad. But what I dislike most about it is the packing part.
Admittedly, I`m not a wise packer, nor do I enjoy it. I used to just pick all the clothes and let my mom do the work. My mom loves to fold and fix clothes on my luggage everytime I travel. It is pretty much beneficial for both of us; beneficial for me cause I just sit there and watch her pack [lazy like that] and for her, cause she LOVES to put all her "PASALUBONGS" on the excess space / canals of my bag, wise woman eh.

Anyway, were just days away from THE BIG SUMMER TRIP and I still haven`t figured out what I should bring. I`ll most definitely bring half a month`s worth of clothes which I have thoroughly sorted but I`m still organizing things so my bag`s still a big mountain of junk. Sister told me that that volume is enough since were washing our clothes there. I`m ashamed to say that I don`t know how to wash my clothes [undies not included]. I`ll probably ask my sister to help me wash my clothes [my sister is awesum].

I tried to be practical and all and made a list of tips that will be helpful for me and my packing dilemma.
TIPS AND TRICKS:

1. List down all the important things that you need. What I do is I sort them out in batches for easy reference.
For example,
Batch A - Clothes
Batch B - Make-up and Toiletries
Batch C - Gadgets
Batch D - Money and Documents [IMPORTANT]

2. Travel Light - Bring only what you will wear and what you need especially if the trip is for leisure since I am pretty sure that Shopping is a part of the itinerary.

3. Airtight Bags / Vacuum Bags / Ziploc Bags are super useful and a huge space saver. Use Ziploc Bags for underwear and bathing suit for space saving. Use it for Shirts and Camisoles again for space saving. Ziploc Bags remove air and compress whatever it is that you would put in it [an instant space saving tip which I learned from my mom]. You would also want to put your make-up or toiletries if you don`t have a toiletry bag.

4. Clothing Pieces and Footwear should be comfy specially for long walks and trips. At least for me.

5. Distribute money and cards to different areas of your bag [this i got from dad]. If you lose some, at least you still have spare.
I think those are the tips that I`ve learned.

Singapore Appreciation Post LAH!

Photos and events not in order

Singapore is my favorite country. I have been there numerous times already [kidding, just 4] but I fall even more in love with the country every time I visit. So this blog is my Singapore Appreciation Post because this place is LEGEN..wait for it..DARY! :]

My very first Singapore trip was with my sister. I was in grade school back then. My not-so-favorite memory of that trip was when I accidentally left our camera in the hotel lobby. How unfortunate and clumsy of me. Sorry ate :( But I think I had fun, I just can`t recall. My second [2007 i think] trip was a disaster, my sister`s phone got snatched. But the trip was a fun one cause I traveled alone. Loner? Not so. But it was a great experience and lesson for me [the travel alone part]. My third time was of EPIC PROPORTIONS, I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW MUCH I STILL, AND WILL FOREVER LOVE THIS THIRD TRIP. This trip was LEGIT, GAH. I`m feeling super happy whenever I remember this trip. It was a school trip that got suspended. We [my batchmates], despite the widespread of bird flu all over asia,  all pushed through, haha! I stayed at my sister`s place in Sembawang with my blockmate Miles. Thank you Miles for the tight bond and for making the trip mega fun. Babycake, originally, was supposed to come with us but unfortunately got a refund because of the stupid school memo :( So anyway, we stayed there for like a week. Friends and I enjoyed the trip. Right BEA? :) Thank you Bea for making the trip fun! Sobrang saya lang natin! Plus Aaron and Seph! Gah! I LOVE MY BLOCKMATES!! Vinni, Rain, and Steph, hello! I love you Singapore Friends! Plus, we shopped like it was the end of the world!! I was flat broke afterwards, haha, oh well, it was an AMMMAAAZZZIINNNGGG TRIP! Most of the pictures below are from Singapore 2009 Trip with my Loves :) I can actually blog about it in a different blog because I can narrate everything! I can still remember every single detail of that trip, LEGIT RIGHT? :) My 4th time was now with my nephew, Yani. It was a very long process because I had to get a permit from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Place cause Yani is still a minor travelling with his Aunt and not his parents. I`m super glad that Yani enjoyed his first time abroad.

Summer Trip with Ate

I am now legitly excited for my trip abroad on May with my sister! My sister`s coming home here in the Philippines from Singapore this May cause were going to Obamaland on the same month.

In lieu of the excitement [haha], I am, as early as now, gathering pegs of things to bring for our big trip. We`ll be there for a month so I really need to be meticulous of the things that I will be bringing. I am also seriously saving my 3 months worth of salary for this trip. Dad agreed to pay for my airfare, how generous of him, but my pocket money will all come from my own..well..pocket, which is all good btw.

I just plan to bring these basic items. I`ll just buy other stuff there. I`ll add more once I`ve figured out what other stuff to bring.

Byeeee! :)
