Fitspiration

My FITspiration :] Geez, I LOVE HER ROCKIN` BOD!

Animo Swirl Rewards Card

Bought a Swirl Card from TCB&TL. Yay for unlimited WIFI at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, haha.

I love Coffee Bean! Their shop is not as crowded and as jeje as Starbucks in RP, haha! Though it`s much more expensive than Starbucks, their products are really good. I wouldn`t mind spending a good 200 bucks on their drinks and cookies! :]

Panna Cotta Obsession

I am in search of the BEST Panna Cotta in Manila. So far, I`ve only tried 2, one from Cibo and this one right here from Cocktales. I must say, both are really creamy and scrumptious but I prefer the Panna Cotta of Cibo. I don`t have a photo of the Mango Caramel Panna Cotta of Cibo :[ Anyway, this is cheaper. The one from Cibo`s like 100+ and this one`s 99 only[I think, I forgot, haha]. Cocktales' Panna Cotta is yummy as well.

I give Cibo a 10/10 stars and Cocktales an 8.

Cocktales, Robinsons Midtown Wing, 4th floor.
 Nice Presentation!
 Healthy :]
Cute spoon! :]

Love at First Whiff

Honey I Washed The Kids.
I went to the Lush Store and sniffed different bars but this is, by far, the best. I am so addicted to the SMELL OF THIS SOAP. SERIOUSLY. It smells so good, I wanna eat it, RAWR. It`s a bit pricey though, don`t ya think? I normally use Dove Cucumber and Green Tea Body Wash or the Ivory Lavender Liquid Soap which costs, i think, almost the same as this, BUT I DON`T CARE CAUSE I LOVE THIS TO BITS. Excited to try this tomorrow! For my next Lush purchase, I wanna try their moisturizers, lip scrub, and shampoo bar. Lush, you are my soap heaven.
Paper Bag made with 100% Recycled Paper :) Excellent job, Lush Philippines!
 PHP281.75, US$6.54 (PHP 43.05=US$1)
AAAAAHHHHHH.

Packaging

That water bottle packaging right there is LEGIT. Most of the water bottle designs here in Philippines are, I can`t seem to put it all into words..Uhm, very..traditional?boring?safe? I mean, I understand that people don`t check the label as much as I do, nor do they even care, but wouldn`t it be nicer if they try to reshape and overhaul those bottles and labels?
Gah. As a young designer, I just feel like those who make those labels aren`t putting so much effort in designing the entire packaging of local water bottles. The only water bottle that have greatly caught my attention are those bottles from Republiq [sorry, I can`t find a decent photo].

But whatever, that`s just my opinion, I`m just saying what I truly feel, bwahaha.

Oh and by the way, I made a signature for my blog :) haha! CIAO!

Taking Things Seriously

I have a month left before we fly to the States. I have been preparing my body for this trip just so I could buy lots of clothes, haha! But that`s a different issue.

My super close friends and I have been chatting since yesterday about weight issues and insecurities. I have a lot of those, would you believe? People love me for who I am irregardless of my flaws and insecurities but I just seriously want to live a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. Actually, I eat healthy, except for the sweet stuff which I find hard to control. That, I`ve got to learn. Cake, Ice Cream, Chocolates, Brownies, Goodbye. I have to stick with natural sugar like those from fruits. Gah, I love fruits!!!! Oh and I can eat pala dark chocolate, which I also love. But I have to be super careful.

As I have previously raved about, I have stopped eating pork and beef since February 28, 2011. Approximately 7 weeks now. It`s fine cause I source my protein needs from Fish and Chicken. What i SERIOUSLY AND STRICTLY GOT TO GET RID OF is WHITE RICE.

I`m not a fan of rice and I can skip it a week straight or even a month but sometimes, I just can`t help it. I try to eat at least half cup to a cup at most. I limit it to that, beyond that, my mouth can no longer and will strongly refuse to ingest or even take in. I guess I should blame my Asian Roots for this because Rice is a household staple of Asian homes, haha. Thai Jasmine Rice, you are so freaking yummy! GRR.

Aside from STRICT COMPLIANCE OF NO RICE, I just gotta go back to the gym and do all strenuous activities which I enjoy like Swimming, Biking, and Running. Those listed activities burn a lot of calories and fats. I mean, come on, I can`t lose weight by just refraining myself from eating whatever.
I`ve been browsing Tumblr for inspirational photos [like those posted above, which by the way, i got from wherever, probably Tumblr or Thinspiration Photos] and found A LOT of motivational sites  and photos and tips but I NEED TO MOTIVATE MYSELF FIRST. I need a lot of MOTIVATION AND WILL POWER that will inspire me, where can I buy that? Haha. Anyway, I wanna thank Anna Banana for inspiring me to go back to the gym, Babycake for constantly reminding me of how he loves me and how HOT I am, Barbie for just being there for me and not judging me despite my continous emotional meltdowns [well, sort of]. I am definitely lucky to have such amazing friends who support me in whatever it is that I am doing and who reminds me of how BEAUTIFUL I am. Haha, kilig.

Lastly, I will do my very best to lose weight and attain my goal of living a healthy lifestyle rather than go for short term goals and do diet shortcuts.

Ciao!

Summer Picks

Weather in Manila is superbly as hot as my friends. Hence, what you wear on a daily basis is important. I refuse to feel sweaty and icky in the office or wherever it is that I`m off to so I wear extra comfy and airy yet stylish clothes that would counterbalance the annoying weather. Below are my favorite summer outfits [well of course all are just pegs which I downloaded from [mostly] Tumblr, or wherever]. Notice that all are really airy and comfy. Those are just simple basic clothes that I would like to pretty much wear everyday. I LLLUUURRRRVVVVEEEEE LOOSE SHIRTS AND PANTS :)

Photos are from Tumblr. I do not claim ownership of the photos above.

All Day Sushi Buffet Experience at Sakae Sushi

Note:
I forgot to bring my baby Damon so I just used "Phone Camera" and instagrm instead. Haha, I`m such a loser.
So we, Yani, Dad, Self, ate at Sakae Sushi cause we wanted to try their All Day Sushi Buffet. When we got there, Yani was measured and he was already above 4 ft so he can no longer avail the 199 Kids buffet, hence, if he still wants the Sushi Buffet, he  should already pay for the adult price of 399 which he did not like [yes we had a small deliberation whether or not he should just go ala carte or still push through with the buffet]. Dad didn`t want to try the Sushi Buffet but instead bought Udon Ramen whatever soupy thing which he enjoyed. And he also ordered bottomless Iced Green Tea which I`m a super fan of [100 Pesos only, bottomless na]. Yani consumed only 2 red plates worth 198 Pesos only. I was the only one who tried the All Day Sushi Buffet.
The mechanics of the Sushi Buffet and Sushi Ala Carte [Sushis on the conveyor belt] is pretty simple. There are 4 colors of Sushi plates which correspond to different prices [well, duh]. First is the Blue plate which costs 39, then there`s yellow, 59 [I believe], then green worth 79 [or 69?], and lastly 99 for the red plates. OR you can go with the Sushi Buffet, 199 for kids 4'0'' below and for those who are 4'0'' above, irregardless of age, you already are considered at an Adult price of 399. For those who aren`t aware of the difference between Ala Carte and Buffet, I shall briefly explain. Ala Carte means you pay per piece while Buffet means you eat whatever for whatever quantity you can for a fixed price. BUT! You have to finish what you get otherwise if your leftovers add up to 6 small bowls of rice, then you pay for it. How much? I forgot to ask, sorry. So anyway, Their Sushi Buffet comes with bottomless hot or cold Green Tea and Miso Soup, not bad! Production stops at 9pm cause that`s their closing time at Robinsons Place Mall.
When it comes to Sushi Variation, I think there are more or less 7 kinds of Sushis that I saw moving around. I was too focused on what I can eat, haha! I did not try em all cause some had meat [which I don`t eat] and others just weren`t appetizing enough for me. The first one that I tried was Raw Squid Sushi which tasted funny. The second had a small bowl full of Fried Peppered Tuna and Salmon which was super yummy. The third plate did not leave a mark on my head which means I forgot about it already and that it tasted BLAH to me. My fourth plate was a California Maki plate which was okay. My last plate had raw 2 pcs Salmon Sushi [Still not a fan of Salmon] which I did not like. I only consumed 5 plates worth  a little over 350. Plus I wanted Tamagoyaki, Shrimp, and Tuna Sushi which they did not include in their Sushi Buffet. Oh well. But I drank so much Iced Green Tea which made me SUPER HAPPY. Sheesh, I can consume like a gallon of their Green Tea all day long. I asked about their Green Tea but it was too complicated or the girl was just too lazy to explain. It was, I think, a concoction of different kinds of Green Tea, though I think it tastes more like Chamomile Tea, but I dunno, I`m no Tea expert :)

The next time that I eat there, I might not get the All Day Sushi Buffet cause sayang. I can`t eat as much as others can. The table beside ours finished like 10 plates or more, WOWZER. I can`t do that! T_T

It would probably be nice and useful if Sakae Sushi had a Sushi guide so their customers won`t just randomly pick. But if that`s their target, then fine. If I were to rate Sakae Sushi overall, i`d give them a 7 out of 10 stars [thank your Iced Green Tea].

So there. That`s it :)

Slap in the Face

I feel extra extra fat today [can you imagine?] but this motivated me I AM MY OWN MOTIVATION.

I am not motivated by the aesthete and layout of this photo. But the message is exceptional! Oh and the woman too!

Life`s a BEACH.

*SUMMER 2011
Geez, I cannot exaggerate how hot it is here in the Philippines. But Humidity + Scorching Heat of the SUN only means one thing, SUMMER IS F-ING HERE.

Summer is super awesome if you live on the outskirts of the city where it's still a bit windy; but here in Manila, the weather is exasperatingly HOT. I am not exaggerating. The hotness level of the city weather is extremely devastatingly beyond skin-burning! Sheesh, I wanna stay in an airconditioned room between 10 am til 4pm, haha. I hate the heat outside.

The summer heat makes me crave for fruits! Gah..I wanna eat pineapple, watermelon, orange, kiwi, melon, all the  refreshing sweet and sour fruits everyday. I wanna eat Halo-Halo! Halo-Halo is made up of various sweetened fruits and bean toppings under shaved ice with fresh milk and to top it all of a small piece of ube and leche flan. It`s a delectable summer favorite among Filipinos. It's our local version of Ice Kachang or Red Ruby of Singapore [I dunno what other iced dessert I can compare it to]. I also imagine myself  sitting on the sand, sipping fresh banana smoothie, and reading a good book or listening to house music. Or just have fun watching the cute kids in their tiny bathings suits while frolicking on the shore. Too bad it`s just my imagination. How I wish I could do that but it`s simply impossible cause I have work. I guess the next big thing that I should look forward to is THE beach trip with my family this Holy Week to wherever it is place that were going. I need a break. I also cannot wait to go to Boracay this September with my blockmates and party and do all sorts of fun stuff with them. BEACH, you are indeed, my perfect paradise.

My SUMMER 2011 will definitely be a good one. I. CANNOT. WAIT.

Don`t forget to wear sunscreen!

New Starbucks Logo

This is the new Starbucks logo, d`ya like it? I give this a 7/10 stars. I think I prefer the old one better but whatever. I love my Iced Green Tea Latte. I`m a fan of GREEN TEA, ain`t it obvious?

Nude Lips

[L-R Barbara, Anna, Me]

Last Sunday, I went to Mary`s 18th birthday party @ Dolce, Tomas Morato. I had originally planned on wearing my Revlon red lipstick but ended up wearing nude colored lips. Thank God, it looked pretty! I wore my MAC Lustre Pretty Please over my MAC Cremesheen Creme De Nude. I topped both shades with my Beauty Rush Fruitloose lipgloss :)
